今天晚上媽媽送我去上英語(yǔ)課,我去的時(shí)候是第二名,而且我沒(méi)背書(shū),因?yàn)楸蝗思艺剂,我在那里排?duì),而且是另外一個(gè)班的。
我看見(jiàn)了我的朋友,跟我同班的凱文也在那里。他說(shuō)跟我玩?zhèn)游戲,讓我說(shuō)‘老鼠、老鼠、老鼠!揖驼f(shuō)‘老鼠、老鼠、老鼠’他說(shuō)反過(guò)來(lái)說(shuō),‘鼠老、鼠老、鼠老’然后他說(shuō)我是貓,他笑了一下,他覺(jué)得這樣很搞笑,我覺(jué)得一點(diǎn)也不搞笑,我覺(jué)得我上當(dāng)了。
我發(fā)現(xiàn)了一個(gè)橡皮擦,我見(jiàn)過(guò)凱文的橡皮擦就是這樣子的,像一個(gè)熊的樣子,兩個(gè)圓形的耳朵,一個(gè)頭。
我又看見(jiàn)了一個(gè)小小的'磁鐵塊,我覺(jué)得很順眼,我就跟凱文扔,我先把磁鐵扔到黑板上,粘得很短,沒(méi)有很高,而是有點(diǎn)短!第二次的時(shí)候,很高,第三次的時(shí)候越來(lái)越高了,第四次,又高了,第五次的時(shí)候已經(jīng)高得受不了了。我拿不下來(lái),我把凱文抱起來(lái),讓凱文拿,可是凱文拿不到,我只好去找凱文的媽媽,凱文的媽媽說(shuō)拿凳子,哦,我這才想起來(lái)可以踩凳子,然后我踩著凳子就拿下來(lái)了。(*^__^*)嘻嘻……該凱文扔了,凱文扔的只有中等,我扔得就很高,我是站在凳子拿下來(lái)的,凱文還說(shuō)比賽,他根本就沒(méi)扔到,比什么塞呀?
然后,英語(yǔ)就開(kāi)始了,老師來(lái)了,老師說(shuō):“誰(shuí)要上廁所呀?”我說(shuō):“我要去!”然后我就嗖~一溜煙兒的跑走了。

If there is any single factor that makes for success in living, it is the ability to profit by defeat。 Every success I know has been achieved because the person was able to analyze defeat and actually profit by it in his next undertaking。 Confuse defeat with failure, and you are doomed indeed to failure。 For it isn't defeat that makes you fail: it is your own refusal to see in defeat the guide and encouragement to success。
Defeats are nothing to be ashamed of。 They are routine incidents in the life of every man who achieves success。 But defeat is a dead loss unless you do face it without humiliation, analyze it and learn why you failed。 Defeat, in other words, can help to cure its own cause。 Not only does defeat prepare us for success, but nothing can arouse within us such a compelling desire to succeed。 If you let a baby grasp a rod and try to pull it away, he will cling more and more tightly until his whole weight is suspended。 It is this same reaction which should give you new and greater strength every time you are defeated。 If you exploit the power which defeat gives, you can accomplish with it far more than you are capable of。
挫折

As we all know, the world is nowadays becoming “globalized”, and I also heard somebody once said that the world is turning into a village. Recently fast-developed communication media result in the changes. And English functions as the most popular language in international communication should be the first cause—we have broken down the barriers between nations and could now communicate freely with people all over the world.
As for why I began to study English, there is a story. I can still remember when I was a little girl. One day, I was watching a TV programme. It’s about a beautiful country. I asked mum what it was called. She told me that’s Britain, far away in the west, and people there speak a kind of language called English. ‘But why it’s different from the one we are speaking now?’ I kept on asking. ‘That’s because every country has its own culture and language.’ I then just hit upon an idea: I must go there some day. Then I began to get interested in this nation. I wanted to know more about her culture, her history and her people. So in order to make my dream come true, I began to study English at the age of nine.
I have worked very hard, and as the study went further, I met many difficulties. But I have never thought of giving it up. Because later I realize that I learnt it not just because I want to go to Britain, but also because I like it. I just can’t help learning more and more about it.
And that’s the main reason why I study English.
Another reason is that China has joined the WTO, and Beijing is going to hold the Olympic Games in 20xx. China is becoming more and more international. If we want to make our country stronger, we have to learn things from other countries; besides, we also have to let the whole world know about the Chinese traditional culture; so if we want to have these done, we have to communicate with people. So in order to communicate well, we have to learn another kind of language. Being an internationally used language, English should be our first choice.
So these are the reasons why I chose English to be my second language. I will never stop studying it. I know there are still a lot for me to learn. I hope that one day my dream will finally come true.

Nowadays, the problem of academic plagiarism becomes more and more serious. In order to earn academic titles, some teachers plagiarize others’ academic papers; in order to graduate smoothly, some college students plagiarize others’ graduation papers. Everything has its reasons; academic plagiarism is no exception.
First, college authorities put too much emphasis on papers while conferring academic titles and graduating students. Second, modern technology makes it unprecedentedly easy to get information and materials. Some plagiarists who are morally corrupt can’t resist the temptation and decide to take risks. Third, the system of censorship and penalty are far from being strict, encouraging plagiarism to some extent.
Plagiarism causes many bad results. On the one hand, plagiarism infringes original writers’ right and it is unfair for teachers and students who don’t plagiarize. On the other hand, plagiarism may spread negative thoughts which in the end will ruin colleges’ fame. Therefore, I suggest college authorities should not regard papers as the only criterion for evaluating teachers and students. Besides, much stricter system of censorship and penalty should be applied.
