　　I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so.

　　I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this.

　　At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come.

　　With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.

　　Yesterday was Saturday. It should be a leisurely day, but I was busy yesterday. I got up at eight oclock and then I ate breakfast. After breakfast, my mother and I went to the downtown to do some shopping. We went to the departmen store, because my mother wanted to buy clothes for my father. And then we went to supermarket. I like going to supermaket because I can buy many snacks there. However, when we were in supermarket, my father called my mother suddenly. My aunt visited us! Then, we just bought some foods and went home by a taxi. When we got home, it was already four oclock. Therefore, we had to started to prepare for the dinner. My aunt said that she would stay in my home for several days. I was very happy,because I like to stay with my aunt and I did not see her for a long time. Although yesterday, I was very happy.

We should plant more trees and we should prevent those factories from pouring waste water into rivers, lakes and fields. We shouldn’t leave rubbish everywhere and spit in public places . We mustn’t pick the flowers or step on the grass in public. If everyone tries his best to protect the environment , the world will become much more beautiful and our life will be better and better .
