　　others consider it harmful to set off fireworks. they say that fireworks cause many casualties and fire accidents. they also say that the ground is littered with pieces of papers and the air is filled with smoke. in a sense, it is another kind of pollution.

　　personally, i amon the side of the latter argument. i think the safety of human life and property is more important than the enjoyment of setting off fireworks. moreover, we can find other kinds of enjoyment which might be safer and more meaningful to observe the special occasion and the coming new year.

　　2月28日上午，學校組織了英語競賽。

　　同學們開始動筆答卷。教室內十分安靜，只有監(jiān)考老師來回走動的聲音，和同學們答題的沙沙聲。前三道題比較簡單，我輕而易舉地就做完了，一切都是那么順利。

　　第四道題是選擇題，看著容易做起來難�？粗ㄌ柡竺娴腵四個答案，我不敢輕易下筆，選錯了可是要扣分的，我思考著如何選擇�？纯磁赃叺耐瑢W，也是愁眉苦臉的，十分著急。唉！都怪我平時讀英語書馬馬虎虎的，囫圇吞棗，不求甚解，要不今天怎能感到吃力呢？還是跳過這只“老虎”趕緊做后面的題。

　　第五道題是判斷題，在每個句子后邊打鉤或打叉，然后指出有錯誤的地方，又是一只“大老虎”。怎么辦？不能再讓這只“老虎”跑掉，要拿出武松打虎的精神打掉這只“大老虎”。我按照平常做題的思路，認真判斷每一道題，很快就打掉了這只“紙老虎”。我加快速度做完后面的題，然后再返回來攻克最后一個難關――選擇題，真是功夫不負有心人，我終于做完了選擇題，又是一只“紙老虎”被打掉。

　　最后十分鐘了，監(jiān)考老師提醒同學們加快答題速度，答完題的同學要仔細檢查。有的同學長長的嘆了口氣，如釋重負；有的同學抓耳撓腮，眉頭緊鎖還有的同學停筆檢查，已是成竹在胸；我也開始仔細檢查每一道題，心里還是忐忑不安。

　　哎！這一次艱難的英語競賽已結束。但選擇題和判斷題能全對嗎？我心里沒有十分的把握。

　　自創(chuàng)小詩一首，以抒我對英語的頑固不化之痛。再仔細分析試卷，第一大題選擇題全是課內知識，是13單元土生土長的題型，我的做對率也為100%。后面的.題基本上是課外閱讀，結果做得慘不忍睹。另外語法題也很成問題。都怪平時積累甚少，遇到新單詞就沒折了，無法完全理解文意，也不了解那些詞匯的搭配。很有可能那些單詞我在課外練習時碰到過，但是沒有耐心地去記。一遇到語法題，我就把“褲子”當“上衣”穿了，把“襪子”當“毛巾”來擦臉了，又把“擦鞋刷”拿來當“牙刷”使了，總之---一片混亂，搭配得相當?shù)膫€性。不禁又曰：
